As An Eilean Seo (Of This Island)
A showcase of recent work by Sandra Kennedy.

A carefully selected collection of works by island artist Sandra Kennedy to compliment the 2 artworks, A' Coiseachd (Walking) and Aiteal (Transient View) included in the Hulabhaig collection of island contemporary art.
Sandra is a native Gaelic speaking islander, who’s work is intrinsically linked to place, her place, and the associated experiences she acquires from being in the landscape around her home in Marvig, here on the Isle of Lewis.

New work including Sabaid (Fighting), Camhanach (Dawn), Leum (Leap) and Suain (Sleep), artworks on canvas exploring figurative themes commonly used in Sandra's work reflecting the narrative hints and associations within landscape.

Also selected are Alltan (Little Stream), Àiteachan Creagach (Rocky Places), Dèarrsach nan creag (Shining Rock) and Cortal (Lichen). Earlier works evoking memories of locations regularily visited by Sandra on her daily walk.
